The Reach Campaign is a first-of-its-kind fundraising initiative to end the Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) river blindness and elephantiasis. NTDs disproportionately affect the world’s poorest people, trapping their families in cycles of poverty. When adults suffer from such diseases, children are taken out of school to support their care.
Just 2 AED can provide the medicine and treatment to protect one person from river blindness, lymphatic filariasis (elephantiasis) and several other co-endemic diseases for the entire year.
Our target is to raise AED2million ($565,000) and we believe this can be achieved. If 100 people per school/organisation raise 500aed each ($136), we can easily surpass this.
