Al Jalila Foundation and Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital have created Al Jalila Children's Fund, a charity to help sick children receive the treatment they need. They also fund research to find cures for many diseases, such as diabetes and cancer.
Diabetes, especially type 1 diabetes, is extremely prevalent in children. Cases of type 2 diabetes in children are rising in the UAE, and Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital has a speciality clinic for diabetic children to help them cope and recover from diabetes. As a person with IGT, I would like to raise awareness for childhood diabetes and help to raise funds to combat this disease.
I will cycle 900 km in a month to raise awareness for childhood diabetes, because a healthy lifestyle is very important in managing diabetes. I have also launched a YallaGive fundraiser to raise money for the Al Jalila Foundation and I would appreciate if you donate something here.
