Let’s unite in the fight against breast cancer – for our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, wives, daughters, friends and colleagues who have been affected by this disease.
Breast Cancer isn't merciful. According to the WHO, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. As alarming as it seems, so many women have fought through the pain and have lived to tell the tale.
After reading that very same WHO article, we decided that we were not one to flow with those numbers. No woman should go through such horrible pain to rid herself of a disease that was brought upon her for reasons unknown. My sister, Ashi, and I, Ahan, are leading this fundraiser for Al Jalila to contribute towards better breast cancer treatment and research, if not decreasing the WHO statistics to a number we can bear to see.
Al Jalila Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to save patients' lives through their care, learning and discovery programs.
