Blankie taps into childhood memories—the warmth of a security blanket—and creates cozy atmosphere where dreams can flourish. Further to this, Blankie is a weighted blanket, which is scientifically shown to reduce stress and anxiety. Lastly, AI-driven technology allows users to set the tone and the tune for their relaxation, tailoring it to their mood.

Our dream for the future is one where compassion and mental health awareness are a given, and sustainable design is the standard, using upcycled, recycled and recyclable materials.

To make Blankie both innovative and sustainable, we teamed up with Kvadrat, a leader in eco-friendly textiles. Kvadrat’s “Regenerate Together Through Transparency” strategy aims for net-zero status by 2040, and their products meet strict sustainability standards.

Blankie is made up of offcuts, upcycled, and recycled materials. For the filling, we used Kvadrat’s Really Material, which is 100% derived from the fibers of discarded clothing as well as fabric waste. The outer shell is comprised of fabric offcuts locally sourced from Kvadrat here in the UAE, and lastly we worked with small scale homegrown UAE manufacturers for the production. This focus on sustainability means Blankie is as environmentally conscious as it is comfortable.
