MEMFIT, a postmodern piece with a bold Memphis lean, aims to deconstruct traditional concepts and forms associated with both working and working-out from home. It challenges the conventional understanding of functionality by breaking norms with innovative and unconventional designs through embracing chaos, and breaking free from the constraints of tradition. Through the use of retro shapes, vivacious colours, and through sustainable materials this piece pays homage to Memphis design as a transitional era between the 70's and 90's, marking historical shifts in society, design, and art. This shift draws many parallels to the post-pandemic movements seen in contemporary culture, and MEMFIT answers the need for adaptability and future-forward thinking necessary for a society at the precipice of change.
