What if a garment could carry the soul of a place?

Every thread holds a story. Every material carries a memory. In Syria, the objects that surround us often hold generations of history, craftsmanship, and identity.

Inspired by the traditional Syrian cloak and the materials woven into the memory of Syrian homes, Rooted transforms an old carpet into a contemporary garment. Traditional saya fabric, Arabic calligraphy, and reclaimed leather offcuts come together in a dialogue of texture, heritage, and renewal. Drawing inspiration from Syrian embroidery, the red stitching becomes a thread of cultural identity, connecting generations and carrying the spirit of Syrian heritage into the present.

Sustainability lies at the heart of the piece, giving forgotten materials new purpose and allowing their stories to continue rather than end.

More than a garment, it is a piece of Syria, carrying the warmth of home and the spirit of its heritage into a new generation.
