Zaari - A symphony of threads

Zaari celebrates the beauty of human connection, where cultures, communities, creative disciplines and skilled hands come together to create something greater than the sum of their parts. Zaari draws inspiration from the fluidity of architectural forms, the richness of layered textures and the harmony of contrasting materials, transforming them into a sculptural expression of wearable art.

Its sweeping, interwoven curves echo the natural movement of water, symbolising the journeys of different cultures and communities as they cross paths, intertwine and flow together. Each fabric carries its own identity, colour and texture, yet together they create a harmonious composition, reflecting the beauty of unity in diversity.

Through thoughtful material reuse and the artistry of local craftsmanship, Zaari honours heritage while embracing a more sustainable future. Like a symphony, where individual notes unite to create something extraordinary, Zaari weaves together different talents, traditions and perspectives into one shared creation.

More than a dress, Zaari is a celebration of belonging, shared purpose and the extraordinary beauty that emerges when we create together.

Each year the region’s A+D community comes together to celebrate sustainable designs in support of Surge’s mission to bring comprehensive Water+ solutions that include safe water, sanitation, hygiene and menstrual health to global communities. By purchasing this one-of-a-kind piece you are directly making an impact!
