My name is Ayaan Farazi and I am a student in Year 10 at Dubai College. I have chosen to be a Youth Ambassador for The Citizens Foundation, to support their cause to make quality education accessible to needy and deserving children in Pakistan.
The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a well established Pakistani charity, which aims to provide high quality education to children who cannot afford to attend a regular school. TCF has been around for 26 years, and in this time, they have built 1,687 schools, and have imparted education to over 275,000 students.
Currently, the cost to educate one child for a whole year is around 500 AED. Considering this, I have set a goal to raise 7,500 AED to educate 15 students for one year. The end goal of the Youth Ambassador Program is to raise 83,000 AED, which is enough to educate 200 students for a year.
I think the work TCF does is invaluable. They help educate people of all ages, not just children. Imagine being someone who does not have any opportunity to get an education. Where do you see your life going? Now, imagine yourself as the same person, but you have access to education. It makes all the difference. Once you have completed education from school, you can make it to university, and then get a proper, well paying job! The course of your life has been changed, just from such a small amount of money. TCF not only provides education to such people, but they also help their students get into college, and then get a job.
To add more value to this charity drive, for every 150 AED that I receive, I will run 1km to help support these children. Additionally, for every 100 AED I receive, I will plant 1 tree through the One Tree Planted organisation. Your donation to me will not only help deserving children and adults, but also the environment. Please be as generous as you can with your donations, since every dirham counts!
Your support can change a life!
