CHARITY CHALLENGE - KYRGYZSTAN
9th to 18th July 2021
With travel corridors opening I am excited that I can again travel and resume my work for underprivileged children around the world. I have as you know done a few of these challenges and the effect it has on communities is priceless. The charity I am focusing on this year is in Kyrgyzstan and below I have shared details of the same. It has been a tough year for everyone but in particular communities like this one.
CHARITY PROJECT:
My focus this year is to seek sponsorship to help The remote Ananyevo Municipality in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. They urgently need a community centre to boost learning and social skills. Our goal is to build this centre on a plot of land that has been provided by the local government. By building such a facility in this rural area, we will be improving the lives of 165 vulnerable families, 180 children. The community centre is not just a physical structure, but will also provide a space where parents receive training courses to increase their employability and more importantly parental skills. It will prodominelty be a venue where children will be educated, as well as a hub for cultural and sports events.
We have been working closely with the SOS Children's Villages Kyrgyzstan that was founded in 1996 as a Member Association of the Federation of SOS Children's Villages International and has been working to provide a loving home for every child in need.
I hope that you will donate and make this dream a reality for these people. Your contribution will give the children and families of Ananyevo a connection to the world, and a better, brighter future!
