Emirates Red Crescent’s department of Relief and Emergency is put in place to help deal with the implementation of the Authority’s programs and activities that are related to natural disasters; such as: floods, torrents, earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, drought .etc.)
The Authority has submitted relief to a number of other countries and which is a contribution from the Authority to ease the damage of that countries because of the disasters of floods, rain, earthquakes, drought and desertification, as well as supporting the humanitarian issues for the most vulnerable groups in the other hand. The countries were covered by the Authority relief are: Pakistan, Mauritania, the Comoros, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Syria, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Sri Lanka, China, Maldives, Kyrgyzstan, Albania, Ethiopia, South Africa, Niger, Guinea, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Iraq, Jordan, Chad, Senegal, Bosnia and the Arab Secretariat of the permanent Authority of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Super Typhoon Rai, also known as Typhoon "Odette" in the Philippines, has devastated the southeastern Philippines, displacing hundreds of families.
According to police reports, at least 300 people have been declared dead as of Monday, December 20, 2021, with the number expected to rise as the rescue effort continues.
