Surge invests in communities with safe water, sanitation, hygiene and menstrual health solutions to help end the cycle of poverty.
Our solutions include wells, springs, rainwater harvesters, filters, toilets, hygiene and menstrual health education. With billions of people lacking access to these basic needs, your contribution funds community led, sustainable initiatives.
Every drop - no matter how small - will make a big difference for generations to come! Funds raised will go towards water infrastructure and education programs for communities in Kaberamaido and Kalaki, Uganda.
About Kaberamaido and Kalaki
Kaberamaido and Kalaki Districts in Eastern Uganda, home to over 100,000 people, are often self-described as a "forgotten" land. Heavily contaminated lake water and unprotected springs are the main drinking water sources. Additionally, in this district 80% live below the poverty line, 11% are orphans and vulnerable children, and 7% are living as HIV positive. While over 70% of the population depends on agriculture for their livelihoods, hunger is pervasive.
