Project summary

We have an incredible opportunity to make a lasting impact by installing solar panels and upgrading the sound system at the Aisha Om Al-Mo'mineen Mosque in Saida. This mosque serves 200 worshippers during daily prayers, 1,000 visitors throughout the day, and up to 2,500 people during Eid prayers. By transitioning to clean, renewable energy, we will ensure uninterrupted worship, reduce electricity costs, and contribute to environmental sustainability.

•The challenge

The mosque currently relies on conventional electricity, which is costly and vulnerable to power outages. This affects essential services, including lighting and the sound system used for prayer calls and religious lectures. High energy costs place a financial strain on the mosque and limit its ability to provide a comfortable worship environment for the community.

•The solution

With your support, we will install a 30-amp (50-70 kWh/day) solar power system to provide sustainable energy for the mosque. The installation will include 36 solar panels, 2 inverters, 2 lithium batteries, and a galvanized steel structure, ensuring reliable power for prayer times. Additionally, we will equip the mosque with an upgraded sound system to enhance the worshippers' experience.

The mosque committee has already pledged 35% of the total cost by covering installation expenses and a portion of the equipment costs. Now, we need your generosity to help us fund the remaining amount.

•Impact reports & transparency

We are committed to full transparency. Regular updates will be shared on the project's progress, including images, videos, and financial breakdowns. Donors will receive a report detailing how their contributions have been used.

•Long-term impact

The mosque will generate its own electricity, reducing reliance on external sources.

Lower energy bills mean funds can be redirected to other community initiatives.

This project will serve as a model for other mosques and encourage broader adoption of renewable energy.
