What is The First Cut?

For 8 years I have been growing my hair so that I can donate it to the Locks of Hope program at Friends of Cancer Patients UAE. Now the time has finally come to make ‘the first cut’ in 8 years. My hair has grown to a whopping 32” long, which means I can donate 2x 12” sections of hair that can be used to manufacture wigs for the Locks of Hope program.

What is Locks of Hope?

Locks of Hope is a program by FOCP UAE, it’s a wonderful program that uses hair donations to manufacture hair pieces for the brave children who have lost theirs as a result of cancer treatments. 

How can you help?

In addition to my hair donation, I am raising funds to help support the wonderful work that the Locks of Hope program does. Any donation amount will be gratefully appreciated, so please give what you can.

Who is going to perform ‘The First Cut’?

YOU! Yes, I am handing YOU the scissors! The person who gives the largest donation will be given the scissors (under supervision of course ?) and will make the first cut!* Chaps & Co Barbershop have graciously offered to host ‘The First Cut’ at one of their locations here in Dubai.

*you must be based in Dubai and be able to attend the salon at the given day/time of the cut.
