The 1 Billion Meals initiative has been set up and organized by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Global Initiatives (MBRGI) body.

It is the largest humanitarian initiative of its kind in the region, and aims to provide support in the form of food provision to some of the most in need groups around the world; such as women, children, refugees, displaced people and victims of disasters and crises.

The 1 Billion Meals initiative falls under the pillar of humanitarian aid and relief, which is one of the five main themes of the MBRGI.

Meals, food parcels and other food stuffs are being distributed to four under privileged countries. This distribution is being actioned in association with Food Banking Regional Network (FBRN) and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment (MBRCH).
