Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Alumn,

For the past three years and under the most difficult circumstances, Al Makassed's teachers have continued to deliver forward-looking education to their students, in order to support these dedicated and talented educators through the incredibly challenging times Lebanon is experiencing. Makassed Saida board members have decided to lunch a fundraising campaign, the goal is to raise 100,000 USD  to support the salaries of Makassed's teachers.

Despite its long history of philanthropy, Al-Makassed Association needs your support and help at the moment so that we could maintain the quality education we have proudly offered to all learners regardless of their social, political, and religious backgrounds.

Lebanon's Economic Crisis Is Spinning Out Of Control

Lebanon is facing an economic crisis that is believed to rank as one of the most severe crises since the 1850s. Its economy contracted by over 50% in 2021, with grim predictions for further deterioration in 2022. 75% of its population is under the poverty line as the middle-class families sink into despair, and the poor sink ever lower. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way out of this crisis soon since the government is unable to provide the most basic services. Power outages are a way of life, with most neighborhoods only receiving an hour of electricity a day. Food, medical and fuel subsidies have been cut, and people are going hungry, have run out of medicine, and cannot afford transportation to go to their jobs. Thus, your donation can make a difference to our SCHOOL COMMUNITY and wipe out some of the darkness that currently overwhelms our schools!
