Right now, thousands of families and their animals in the Horn of Africa—including Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Uganda, and Kenya—are facing a devastating drought. Water is scarce, crops are failing, and livestock—the backbone of these communities—are struggling to survive.
Without access to clean water, entire livelihoods are at risk. Families cannot cook, drink, or sustain their animals, which provide essential food like milk, dairy, and eggs. A crisis of this scale threatens not just human lives but the entire ecosystem of these communities.

More Than Just Water—Preventing Human-Wildlife Conflict
As water sources dry up, desperate wildlife and humans are forced to compete for what little remains. This leads to dangerous encounters at shared water points, threatening both human safety and endangered species struggling to survive.
By providing dedicated water sources for communities and their animals, we also reduce the risk of conflict between people and wildlife, ensuring coexistence so that animals and people thrive together in the place we call home.
