We are 8 students, ranging from 12 to 21 in age, that only recently met at a virtual conference hosted by Operation Smile UAE and instantly found common ground. We were called Team Lexxi, after the girl in the picture above, and so as she brought us all together, she is the face of our campaign and who’s Colombian culture we’ll be appreciating.

Operation smile is an international non-profit medical charity that has provided hundreds of thousands of safe surgeries to those born with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate. We want to raise awareness and funds to give back to our communities and help those in need of it most.

Our campaign “Weekly activities to fund cleft surgeries” will be weekly themed as shown below:

Week 1: Baking and Cooking 

Week 2: Arts and craft 

Week 3: Musical Week

Week 4: Mental health and Self Image

We are trying to give everyone something to find entertaining to watch in this stressful period as well as help you learn more about Operation Smile and Cleft Lips/Palates and will be uploading on our youtube channel ‘Quarantine Smiles’ every other day.
