The Covid-19 pandemic poses an even graver threat for countries like Pakistan, with a dense population, wide-spread poverty and lack of access to healthcare facilities - the few organizations that provide quality healthcare, free-of-cost, face tremendous challenges.

The Indus Hospital is one of the leading healthcare providers and has to-date served millions of patients in under-served areas across the country. Today, with the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, The Indus Hospital is fighting on greater fronts than ever before. We need YOUR support to save precious lives!

Our Story

The Indus Hospital (TIH) is one of the leading charity hospitals in Pakistan. Founded in 2007, TIH provides quality healthcare free of cost to patients through a country wide network of hospitals and clinics. In just 13 years we have expanded to 12 hospitals with 1595+ bed facilities, 4 physical rehabilitation centers, various regional blood centers, primary health care clinics and public health outreach programs across 52 districts of the country, serving over 300,000 patients every month.

Our programs range from basic family medicine services, to treatments for life threatening diseases such as Tuberculosis, HIV, Childhood Cancer and many others.

The Indus Hospital has only been able serve the suffering through the utmost generosity of people across the world.

Today, again we APPEAL to our fellow brothers and sisters to donate with an open heart and help The Indus Hospital in fighting the Covid-19.

Initiatives to Combat Covid-19 Pandemic

The Indus Hospital has launched multipronged initiatives to combat the deadly Pandemic.

+ Our trained healthcare professionals are working to Control, Screen, Test and Treat Covid-19 based on World Health Organization guidelines

+ TIH set up 2 Hospitals dedicated to Corona Virus in collaboration with the Government in record time of just 1 week.

+ Thorough screening of staff, patients and attendants is carried out at all facilities across the country.

+ At Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus Karachi, we have established another 26-bedded facility aided with a ventilator for each bed if needed, as well as a dedicated section in the Emergency Department.

+ Our Emergency Department is equipped as per WHO protocols to screen and treat potential Corona virus patients.

+ To serve Southern Punjab, a new building has been dedicated as Covid-19 center at RTEH Muzaffargarh

+ Indus Hospital’s Laboratory and Blood Transfusion Services are amongst the few facilities conducting COVID-19 tests while also fully supporting the Government through this crisis.

+ TIH has set up drive-through screening services to screen and diagnose COVID-19 patients via mobile vans.

+ Created the first online Pakistan specific self-screener for Covid-19 based on international guidelines and in accordance with Pakistani doctors. The tool facilitates risk assessment and provide recommendations

+ Extensive Public Awareness Campaigns highlighting Coronavirus symptoms and precautions on Social Media and other platforms

+ 24/7 awareness and assistance helplines

Increasing numbers of people are falling prey to Covid-19 every day in Pakistan. The risks and pressures are at an all-time high for a healthcare system already struggling to cater to the wider population. The need to create awareness, screen and test for carriers, and treat those infected is imperative in order to help the flatten the curve of this highly infectious virus.

Our hospital is in dire need of monetary donations to further the fight against this crisis. We require Protective Gear (PPEs) for our healthcare professionals and staff as well as funds and resources to Screen, Test and Treat patients, every day.
