About us
We're twin sisters Sharvi and Shaivi, students at Dubai College. For almost a decade, we've been fundraising for charities in the UAE and around the world through our initiative, HeartMade Dubai, raising over AED 170,000 so far, all of which has gone to children's charities. This time, every dirham we raise will go to The Sparkle Foundation, which supports children and families in Malawi. Our goal is AED 10,000. To help, buy our handmade greeting cards for AED 50 each. View the designs at https://heartmadedubai.com or message us on Instagram at @heartmadedubai (https://www.instagram.com/heartmadedubai).
Sparkle story
The Sparkle Foundation believes every community should have an equal chance to live a life of health and self-sufficiency. Sparkle doesn’t tackle problems in isolation. Its work is built on four connected pillars: Education, Health, Nutrition and Community. A hungry child can’t learn, and a family that’s unwell can’t thrive, so each part supports the others.
In a rural community in Malawi, a child’s day at Sparkle starts with a warm bowl of maize and soya porridge. After that, it might be a morning of play and learning in the nursery, a check-up at the clinic, or a football session with friends. For many families, Sparkle is where opportunity begins.
