On the 26th October 2024, our team “Light Weights” will be taking on the 90-minute, 20,000-rep Battle Cancer Challenge, at the Dubai Rugby Sevens Stadium.

Battle cancer aims to raise awareness through sport and fundraise for charities across the globe. Unfortunately, cancer will affect everyone in their lifetime, whether this be through personal experience or knowing someone who has been diagnosed. In the UAE alone, cancer is the third leading cause of death with over 4500 cases diagnosed each year! Battle Cancer allows us to fight back and really make a difference.

Our team are proud to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) the leading national organisation dedicated to the treatment of children and adolescents with cancer. CCCL supports almost 50% of children with cancer in Lebanon, this includes refugees and those from other Arab nations. CCCL’s mission is dependent on donations so every dirham donated will make a huge difference to children and their families.

Battle Cancer is more than just a fitness event, Battle Cancer represents community, hope and strength, so please, as we will be doing on October 26th, dig deep and help us make a difference!
