Stephen Beard and Si Lau are organizing a charity run across all Emirates in the UAE to raise $1,000,000 that will be given to the Dubai Autism Center for the purpose of creating an app that detects non-friendly environments and guides users to autism-friendly spaces.
Individuals with autism often face challenges navigating public spaces due to sensory sensitivities, social difficulties, and environmental unpredictability. A mobile application that detects risks and non-friendly environments can be a game-changer, providing real-time alerts and guidance to safe, autism-friendly spaces.
Stephen and Si will be completing the 7 Emirates Run 4 Autism, a gruelling, 10-day ultramarathon through the UAE, in March.
