Invest in the Skills and Habit of Reading

Empower children to discover the joy of reading by investing in our literacy program in Lebanon.

Our newly launched Lebanon project needs Literacy materials for children who participate in the program. Your investment provides books in Arabic, teacher training and book distribution. With the current economic crisis, a single book can cost 40 Dirham, out of reach for families in low-income communities. For AED5,000, Room to Read can provide nearly 30 children with the support and materials they need to continue their education and lessen the burden on their parents during Lebanon’s worst ever economic crisis, so they don’t have to choose between putting food on the table and providing school supplies for their children.

You will fund relevant and accessible curriculum and books that inspire a love of reading, as well as instructors and librarians who know how to make reading a lifelong habit.
