A huge earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 and floods struck Afghanistan on the morning of Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022. The largest earthquake since 2002 killed over 1,000 people, injured 1,500, and destroyed hundreds of homes. At least 400 people died as a result of the flood.
