SOS Children’s Villages Syria has launched an emergency programme to support children and families affected by the earthquakes in and around Aleppo, Syria for three years. The humanitarian appeal aims at reaching 25,000 affected persons and focus on:
- Emergency aid: distributing food, medicine, clothing and hygiene supplies.
- Evacuation and emergency relocation: evacuating children and families to safety and arranging emergency accommodations.
- Psychological support: providing children and families with mental health and psychological support, and establishing Child Friendly Spaces to provide a safe environment and recreational activities to children.
- Strengthen families in the future: In the long-term, we will work with partners to support families to recover and rebuild.
