Ajialouna Organization is sounding the alarm. Ajialouna has been serving, for the past 26 years, the Lebanese community and helped more than 6,000 Lebanese families annually all around Lebanese areas without any discrimination. In light of the compelling circumstances that Lebanon is going through, Ajialouna is unable to continue supporting families, widows and orphans in its social, health and educational departments, and even unable to cover their monthly expenses due to its inability to withdraw donations and transfers from the banks. As for cash transfers in fresh US dollars, it is sufficient to a small percentage to pay the monthly expenses.
Ajialouna, and for the first time in its history, requests assistance to continue supporting its beneficiaries and employees in light of these difficult conditions. The average value of the monthly financial assistance to support an underprivileged family is $30, or the equivalent of 650,000 Lebanese pounds. This assistance provides either food, medicine, or tuition fees for one child for each Lebanese family.
