As we celebrate the UAE’s Golden Jubilee, let’s honor and renew the commitment of our founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed, to ending neglected tropical diseases. These diseases affect 1.7 billion people living in the world’s poorest and most vulnerable communities. They blind, disfigure and disable, taking away people’s health and chances of staying in school or earning a living.

The Reach Campaign is working to end two NTDs – river blindness and lymphatic filariasis – for good. Just AED 2 can protect someone from these diseases for an entire year. As we celebrate our good fortune, let’s remember those less fortunate by coming together to transform the lives of 5 million people living with NTDs and showing them that they are not forgotten.
