TOTAL DISTANCE RAN ON OCTOBER 20, IS 72 KILOMETERS!!!!!!! 

We are students at Dubai College, section 9FHU, and our goal is to raise funds to support Al Jalila Foundation’s PINKtober 2020 breast cancer campaign.

According to the World Cancer Research Fund, breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in women worldwide and the second most common overall, with approximately 2 million new cases in 2018. It is also the second leading cause of death in women.

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we felt it was timely and important to act now. We have therefore, decided to organize a DC 9FHU and Siblings PINKtober Fun Run on October 20, 2020.

Thanks to Ultimate Athletics, we will be able to use the running track at Sports City, while adhering to Covid-19 guidelines and social distancing requirements. The track is 400m in distance and we plan to each run as much as we can around the track within one hour, and record our total distance at the end.
