Story
Our names are Sabeen (15yr), Ayan (15yr) & Saif Shariff (12yr) and we are Youth Ambassadors for Indus Hospital. We are siblings that go to Dubai College and Dubai American Academy.
Our Objective
Our goal is to raise awareness and funds for Indus Hospital by running/biking/walking/swimming the equivalent of the UAE coastline (1300 km!!) and we need your support.
Our Cause
Indus Hospital & Health Network is serving the helpless in Pakistan by saving millions of lives and impacting thousands more. Through Indus hospital:
- Less fortunate children now have the opportunity to receive free healthcare
- Families in poverty are given a chance at survival
- More than 10,000 children are able to be treated for cancer and blood diseases
To show our dedication, we will be running/biking/swimming the equivalent of the UAE coastline – around 1300km over 80 days through mid May. Please support us by donating any amount to Indus and help us spread the message.
The progress we have done can be viewed at: View Our Progress
Target: 1300km
Achieved: 1300km !!!! The target has been achieved!
Our Impact
Pakistan has a population of over 220 million people. With only 0.6 beds available per 1,000 people and only 11.7 doctors available per 10,000 people, this reflects extreme health inequity within the country.
Indus Hospital & Health Network aims to curb this healthcare disparity and is serving more than 5.4 million patients every year, with the help of our supporters.
Meet Muhammad:
Muhammad aspired to be a cricketing superstar. As he was suffering from high-grade fever, his parents sought medical help, only to find out that their young 6-year-old son was suffering from leukemia – Blood Cancer.
The healthcare treatment provided at Indus Hospital & Health Network rescued him & his dreams.
This is Muhammad’s story!
