Snow White has run 17 London marathons, many in aid of charities for children.

She is running Dubai marathon in 2023 to:

Raise funds for Operation Smile UAE and help us continue our work, providing free and safe surgery to those born with cleft lip and cleft palate. 

Having moved from the UK in June 2022, where she has run the London Marathon in a Snow White costume for the last 17 years, Sonja entered the Dubai marathon with some trepidation about her ability to train and run in the warmer climate.

Living close to the Dubai canal and Jumeirah beach, she has been entertaining colleagues and friends with beautiful photos taken when training - some which can be seen in the gallery. There are also some shots of her London marathon training runs - slightly more hilly close to Robertsbridge where she lived.

Snow White is hoping to put some smiles on the faces of spectators with her costume, and hoping, with your support that she can actively support putting beautiful smiles on children's faces that receive medical care from Operation Smile, UAE

About Operation Smile 

Since 1982 Operation Smile have have provided more than 220,000 free surgical procedures for children and young adults born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial anomalies. 

With a global network of thousands of credentialed medical volunteers from more than 60 countries Operation Smile is dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children from more than 30 countries.

The Operation Smile UAE foundation was established in 2011, we began hosting surgical missions in the UAE in 2017. Since then we have provided surgery to more than 100 patients of more than 20 nationalities who reside in the UAE.

Funds raised will help us continue our work to provide care to children and young adults with cleft conditions.
