At 11 years old. I go to school each day, learn new things, see my friends, and dream about what I might become one day and something very important to remember is this:

I am lucky.

Lucky to have a family who works hard to pay for my education.

Lucky to have books, teachers, a uniform, a safe classroom.

Lucky to come home and talk about your day.

Not every child has that.

In Pakistan, 26.2 million children are out of school. More than half of them are girls just like you. Many of them would love to sit in a classroom, raise their hand, read stories, learn science or maths — but they simply do not have the opportunity.

For them, school is not option. It is not guaranteed. It is a dream.

That is why organisations like The Citizens Foundation (TCF) matter so much.

TCF builds and runs schools in places where children would otherwise never get an education. They now have 2,261 schools, teaching 320,000 students who once had no access to learning. They also employ 16,500 women teachers and principals, helping girls see strong, educated role models every day.

When we support TCF, we are not just donating money. We are sharing our good fortune.

We are saying: “If I have been given the gift of education, I can help give that gift to someone else.”

You don’t have to solve the whole problem.

But even small kindness, small awareness, small action — can change a child’s life.
