On the 18th and 19th of July 2020, Operation Smile UAE held it's first virtual, online U-Lead forum where over 30 students participated, learning about the organisation and the patients we help. During this time, 5 student teams were set the challenge of working together to develop an online fundraiser to help spread awareness about Operation Smile and to raise the much needed funds for our patients who are awaiting their surgeries.

Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity that heals children's smiles, forever changing their lives.

As an international charity for children, we measure ourselves by the joy we see on all of the faces we help. At Operation Smile, we're more than a charity. More than an NGO. We're a mobilized force of medical professionals and caring hearts who provide safe, effective reconstructive surgery and related medical care for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate. 

In many ways, the beating heart of Operation Smile is our Student Programs and in the words of our co-founders Bill and Kathy Magee:

We hope to ignite a spark that creates action, the spirit that drives volunteerism, and the compassion that inspires our students to become impactful leaders in the global community. We need students to help in reaching those who cannot be reached by spreading awareness of what our organization does, and we welcome them into a family that believes students can make a difference!
