Empowering Deaf Children Through Education
In Pakistan, over a million Deaf children are of school-going age, yet less than 5% have access to quality education. Deaf Reach, a program of Family Educational Services Foundation, is one of the only branch networks of schools dedicated to meeting the needs of the Deaf community. With a mission to ensure that no deaf child is left without access to literacy and learning, Deaf Reach provides a full-circle solution: offering quality education, skills training, teacher development, parent training, job placement, and community inclusion.
Deaf Reach Schools, Training Centers and Colleges provide formal education, academic literacy and vocational skills training to deaf children and youth in an enabling environment where students can excel. There are currently nine Deaf Reach Schools educating 2,500+ students annually, located in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Rashidabad-Tando Allahyar, Sukkur, Lahore, Jhelum & Nowshera.
