Cancer affects 1 in 5 women, and the goal of Majlis Al Amal by Al Jalila Foundation is to support patients and survivors in overcoming the challenges of this disease. The centre is a ‘home away from home’ and nurtures the mind, body and soul to empower and uplift women. 

Through the month of October, I will be conducting and participating in multiple initiatives in order to raise awareness for women’s cancer. To commemorate the end of the month we will be hosting an Indian Classical Dance show held on the 25 October 2024, in association with Majlis Al Amal. We aim to collect donations to support women’s cancer treatment.

We hope to harness the shared love for the art form of dance as a basis for support and unity, making a meaningful difference in someone's life.

100% of the proceeds will go towards supporting women with cancer.

About the Campaign

Majlis Al Amal, a cancer community centre for women, has grown into a sanctuary and ‘home away from home’ for cancer patients. Together, we have built a community where courage, compassion and hope flourish, providing strength to one another through every step of the cancer journey.

At Al Jalila Foundation, in line with our 'Patient First' promise, our goal is to ensure that every cancer patient, regardless of their financial circumstances, receives the best possible care so they can focus on their recovery and well-being. To mark the third anniversary of Majlis Al Amal in a meaningful way, we are launching a fundraising challenge by our members to help women unable to afford treatment.

100% of funds raised will provide life-saving medical care to women with cancer.
