KILIMANJARO CHALLENGE 2022

In aid of Foundation of African Empowerment, Enjoro Primary School

Hi! I’m Martin and I would appreciate your help!

My goal this year is to hike mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for a fantastic cause.

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and is the highest single free-standing mountain in the world. Standing at an incredible 5,895 meters above sea level.

Why am I doing this?

Last year, the physical training company raised enough money to build 2 new classrooms for the children which is incredible! But now we are looking to build a further 13 classrooms for them with the kind donations from people like you.

Your donation will not only help build new classrooms to aid with more learners, but also build more accessible bathrooms, provide wheelchairs, hearing aids and support to teach the children with learning disabilities.

I have seen first-hand the poverty of many parts of Africa. Africa is considered the poorest continent on Earth. Almost every second person living in the states of sub-Saharan Africa lives below the poverty line. It broke my heart and I have been waiting for an opportunity to help give back, and now is that time.

Over the course of 6 days from 30th September to 9th October, a group of challengers from the Physical Training Company will be climbing the Lemosho route on Mount Kilimanjaro, summiting at 5,895m.

This challenge will support Enjoro Primary School through the Foundation of African Empowerment (FAE) a not-for-profit non-governmental organization dedicated to improving access to quality inclusive education for all children especially those with special educational needs and disabilities in Tanzania through providing support services, awareness raising and advocacy.

Between the challengers, they aim to raise funds of over AED200,000.

The charity event is held in association with local not-for-profit Gulf for Good & is approved by the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department, Licence No. 30422

- 75% of funds raised go to the FAE.

- 15% of funds raised go to Gulf for Good (NPO in the UAE and registered UK charity) for their sustainability.

- 10% of funds raised go to International Humanitarian City for their emergency response work.
