Story

Challenge:

Embark on a meaningful journey to Uganda from August 17th to August 24th 2024, aligning with UAE and UK school holidays. This unique challenge combines volunteer work with the option to add an incredible Gorilla trekking experience. Engage in impactful volunteering activities contributing to the local community. Join us in Uganda for a volunteer challenge that promises both cultural immersion and the chance to encounter majestic Gorillas in their natural habitat.

CHARITY PROJECT:

The Kisoro Children’s Foundation, which exists to support the education, health, and welfare of children and families. We are raising funds to tile the classrooms, purchase a playground and to furnish the new school.

 FUNDRAISING:

Each participant is tasked with raising a minimum of AED5,000 (USD1,360) to support this project and, together, change the lives of these children and families.

This challenge is held in association with local not-for-profit Gulf for Good, whose purpose is to change the lives of underprivileged children around the world.

The breakdown of how donations are distributed are as follows:

- 75% of funds raised go to the Kisoro Foundation

- 15% of funds raised go to Gulf for Good (not-for-profit in the UAE and registered UK charity) for their sustainability

- 10% of funds raised go to International Humanitarian City for their emergency response work
