GOLF FOR GOOD 2022

In support of The Sparkle Foundation, Malawi

A CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT organised by GULF FOR GOOD to raise funds for

THE SPARKLE FOUNDATION, MALAWI

EVENT:

The Golf for Good event will take place at The Els Club on Friday 25th March, starting at 1.30pm.

Teams of 4 players taking part will give a donation of AED3,400 per each team of 4 players in return for golf entry and a BBQ buffet in the evening from 6pm-9pm.  

Individual entry is also available for AED900 - you will be placed in a team of 4 players.  

During the evening event, there will be awards for winning teams with prizes. There will also be sponsorship opportunities.

ABOUT THE CHARITY:

We are aiming to raise USD 35,000 so Sparkle, Malawi can to purchase a plot of land to build a farm to not only feed the 300 children they support but also as a means of educating the children and reduce their annual food bill by 10%. The local community will also learn about permaculture and crop rotation to improve their subsistence farming methods.

FUNDRAISING IN THE UAE:

This event is held in association with local not-for-profit Gulf for Good, whose purpose is to change the lives of underprivileged children around the world.

The breakdown of how donations are distributed are as follows:

- 75% of funds raised go to The Sparkle Foundation, Malawi

- 15% of funds raised go to Gulf for Good (not-for-profit in the UAE and registered UK charity) for their sustainability

- 10% of funds raised go to International Humanitarian City for their emergency response work
