Going Further Together with ICRC and Hala

United Arab Emirates

The people of Syria are facing their greatest test. Quakes in the night of Monday 6th February have deprived many of their loved ones and what little they had with which to survive. The people of Syria need help now. This campaign will support the provision of life-saving essentials and help people piece their lives back together.

The ICRC and Hala join forces this Ramadan to provide donations to the affected Syrian communities. The ICRC has been providing life-saving support to Syrians since 1967 and is one of the few humanitarian organizations operating on the Syrian side in response to the conflict and now the earthquakes.

This Ramadan, we've partnered up with Hala (Dubai taxi on the Careem app) to give anyone interested an additional opportunity to support Syria in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake. Hala being a ride hailing service that is dedicated to keeping the city connected, we’re pleased to take their mission in creating meaningful connections beyond Dubai.

Donations to the ICRC will be used to support our humanitarian activities in Syria to help people affected by armed conflict including emergency relief, livelihood support, provision of essential services, as well as additional activities in response to the consequences of 6 February earthquakes.

200,000 AED can provide essential hygiene items for up to 2,981 families (15,000 people) in Syria.

300,000 AED can provide 3,487 families of up to 5 people (over 17,000 people) with food for a month.

395,000 AED can provide medical supplies to treat 500 people with significant injuries in Syria.

790,000 AED could make 10,000 winter clothes kits available in Syria.

Every little counts.
