HERO EXPERIENCES
VOLUNTEER CHALLENGE TO MISSION HIMALAYA: CHILDREN'S ECO FARM, NEPAL
VOLUNTEER CHALLENGE:
Hero Experiences employees are taking part in an amazing unique volunteer-focused trip to Mission Himalaya: Children's Eco Farm in Nepal, where they will spend a week volunteering.
CHARITY PROJECT:
This Volunteer Challenge is supporting Mission Himalaya by raising funds for a solar back-up system. The existing solar panels can only support limited lights in certain areas of the home. There are also frequent power outages that can last for days, and the solar back-up system is required for an uninterrupted electrical supply.
Mission Himalaya was founded in 2008 by a group of socially committed professionals whose goal was to provide aid in a sustainable manner to the rural and back-tracked Nepalese communities, and to the orphaned and homeless children of Nepal. Their primary project has been the Children’s Eco Home & Farm in Kavre, Panauti where they provide a self-sustaining, environmentally friendly home for children who have been abandoned or orphaned.
