Challenge Overview
From November 2nd to 10th, the Gulf for Good Team will embark on an exhilarating through hike in the Bhutanese Himalayas. This advanced-level challenge features the renowned Druk Path and the iconic Tiger’s Nest, situated at an altitude of 4,200 meters. Over the course of a week, participants will experience the breathtaking beauty of the world’s tallest mountain range while engaging in meaningful charity work with The Loden Foundation.
Charity Project: The Loden Foundation
Based in Thimphu, Bhutan, The Loden Foundation is dedicated to fostering a happy and enlightened society by enhancing access to education, promoting social entrepreneurship, and preserving Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage. They specifically support children and youth from low-income families through their Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) centers. As a father of two young children and married to a dedicated teacher, I’m especially passionate about this cause, knowing the transformative power of education.
Our fundraising efforts aim to revitalize and upgrade three Loden ECCD centers, creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young learners aged 3 to 8. The project will focus on infrastructure enhancements, the procurement of educational toys and books, and strengthening community bonds with the ECCD centers.
