My Story
My name is Mikhayl Harchandani, I’m 14 years old, and I’m about to take on the Dubai Burj to Burj Half Marathon on February 9th! That’s 21.1 kilometers of running, sweating, and probably questioning my life choices at kilometer 15. But here’s the thing—I’m not just running for the medal (okay, maybe a little), I’m running to support an incredible cause: the Al Jalila Foundation and their mission to help children battling cancer.
The Al Jalila Foundation is doing amazing work right here in the UAE, funding research, treatment, and care for kids who are fighting the toughest battles of their lives. These kids are the real superheroes, and I want to do my part to help them. That’s where YOU come in!
By donating to my fundraiser, you’ll be supporting the Al Jalila Foundation’s life-changing programs. Every dirham counts, and together, we can make a HUGE difference.
About the foundation
Al Jalila Foundation, a global healthcare philanthropic organisation dedicated to transforming lives, was founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai in April 2013, to position Dubai and the UAE at the forefront of medical innovation.
Al Jalila Foundation supports medical treatment for individuals unable to afford quality healthcare; provides education and scholarship programs to nurture a home-grown generation of medical professionals and supports ground-breaking research that addresses health challenges prevalent in the region including cancer.
