Introduction

NDF (National Disability & Development Forum) Non Profit Organization, which has Valid MOU with EAD Government of Pakistan to accept foreign funds, PCP certified & Tax Exempted NGO, has established "NDF REHAB CENTER" through one year granted project by Government of Sindh. After the end of the project funding, since January 2019, the NDF is running the Centre through individual philanthropy. it caters needs of rehabilitation services like Physiotherapy, Psychotherapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Basic non formal Education & sports for 100+ children with boarding & Day Care. This is only facility in rural area of Sindh. It needs your attention to donate please.

Challenge

Mental health is big issue of the world to be addressed. Disability under mental health is called Intellectual Disability which causes Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Dyslexia, & other forms of disabilities causes great hindrances in the child growth. These children are much ignored in developing countries, no proper rehabilitation windows are available in the hospitals. In rural areas you will not find single facility. This problem needs to addressed in rural areas of Sindh, Pak.

Solution

NDF has taken initiative to address the issue through one Rehabilitation Center in Nawabshah, it was opened through financial support of Sindh Government for one year, then it had to sustain through philanthropy. NDF Rehab Center is working after funds end in December 2018 since it is working through local philanthropy & provides rehabilitation services to 100+ children with intellectual disabilities with Boarding & Day care. It needs funds regularly to meet recurring costs to run daily business

Long-Term Impact

The Rehabilitation of such children needs time taking process, the impact is long lasting as one child is rehabilitated he/she may be mainstreamed. These children need proper attention to move forward but it needed untiring efforts & process of rehabilitation. The parents should encourage their children to avail facilities regularly as much possible to have rehabilitated child. This Center provide free facility, your donations will matter to provide facilities to the children in need.
