GULF FOR GOOD - DUBAI MARATHON 2024

We are excited to announce that SDMCC – Deutsche Hospitality Middle East Regional Team - is gearing up for a remarkable event – the Dubai 10Km race part of the Dubai Marathon, scheduled to take place on January 7th, 2024. This year, we are running with a purpose, and we invite you to join us in supporting our selected charity - Gulf for Good.

By choosing to support Gulf for Good in the Dubai Marathon 2024, you will be raising funds for one of their charity projects, Kilimanjaro Initiative in Kenya.

Gulf for Good is supporting Kilimanjaro Initiative by promoting education, mentorship, and leadership through their sports program and an inclusive early childhood development center. This project will specifically work with children and young people, without a safe or secure place to live in areas of Nairobi Kibera, specifically targeting children and young people between the age ranges of 9 – 25 years.

The SDMCC Regional Team will run under the loyalty program H Rewards which unites six renowned hotel brands under one roof: Steigenberger Icons, Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts, MAXX by Deutsche Hospitality, Jaz in the City, IntercityHotel and Zleep Hotels. Benefit from a new dimension of hospitality and special appreciation.

FUNDRAISING:

This IACAD approved license (No. 2121963) is held in association with local not-for-profit Gulf for Good, whose purpose is to change the lives of underprivileged children around the world.

The breakdown of how donations are distributed are as follows:

- 71% of funds raised go to Kilimanjaro Initiative

- 15% of funds raised go to Gulf for Good (not-for-profit in the UAE and registered UK charity) for their sustainability

- 10% of funds raised go to International Humanitarian City for their emergency response work

- 4% of funds go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
