Run for a Child smile

Hello, my name is Waleed Sadek, I am 10 years old and I have a passion for sports. This month, I decided to challenge myself in a race taking place on Oct 16, which will be a distance I have never ran before! 

Why am I doing this? 

Because millions of children around the world with untreated clefts live in isolation, but more importantly, have difficulty eating, breathing, and speaking. Furthermore, cleft repair surgery is simple and the transformation is immediate, children see their smile for the first time, parents cry tears of joy, and lives are changed forever.

I will be taking part in a 3 km race, which is a challenge for me to show solidarity to those of my age in challenging circumstances. 

Something no kid should ever be facing.
