CHARITY PROJECT: Loden Entrepreneurship Programme
Funds raised will support This programme area supports children and youth from low income families through the following activities: 1. Running of early learning centres in three different rural areas of Bhutan; 2. child education sponsorships, supporting school-related essential items such as uniforms, stationeries and so forth; 3. Youth scholarships which support students aspiring for undergraduate studies both within and outside of Bhutan; and 4. Bhutan Dialogues, which creates a platform for critical thinking and dialogues to invigorate development thinking and refine our ideas and the pursuit of human progress.
Loden Entrepreneurship Programme:
This programme supports both aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, of all ages and backgrounds, with interest free and collateral free loans to kick start their business up to a ceiling of Nu 1.5 million per business. In addition to the financial support, the organisation provides mentorship services through its diverse network of local and international expert volunteers. Various networking events are also conducted in the year to foster a vibrant entrepreneurship culture connecting aspiring and existing entrepreneurs with entrepreneur-support organisations and other stakeholders.
Loden also in its efforts to nurture and celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship carries a 3-5 days networking event called the Druk Tshonrig Gatoen where all stakeholders of the ecosystem come together to have discussions, showcase their products and services and celebrate being in the ecosystem. In 2023 as part of the celebration a free flea market structure was built for entrepreneurs who don't have access to space.
FUNDRAISING IN THE UAE:
Gulf for Good, is a not-for-profit charity, whose purpose is to change the lives of underprivileged children around the world. The breakdown of how donations are distributed are as follows:
- 75% of funds raised go to Kilimanjaro Initiative
- 15% of funds raised go to Gulf for Good (not-for-profit in the UAE and registered UK charity) for their sustainability
- 10% of funds raised go to International Humanitarian City for their emergency response work
