I am a Year 12 student at Jumeirah College with strong roots in Pakistan, where I was born and where much of my inspiration comes from. I am deeply passionate about creating educational opportunities for underprivileged children in Pakistan, and I am currently working towards raising AED 10,000 in support of The Citizens Foundation (TCF) Baghbaan Youth – Cycle 7 initiative. This campaign aims to empower children from low-income families by providing them access to quality education and the chance to build brighter futures.
Having witnessed the educational inequalities that persist in Pakistan, this cause is deeply personal to me. Despite the country’s potential, over 26.2 million children remain out of school, making it the second-highest number of out-of-school children in the world. Many schools lack basic infrastructure, qualified teachers, and learning resources, particularly in rural areas. As a result literacy rates remain low, especially among girls- impacting the future of Pakistan.
My connection to Pakistan drives my commitment to be part of the solution. Through my fundraising efforts, I hope to contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty by enabling more children to access education — a fundamental right that can transform lives and strengthen communities. I believe that investing in education is the most powerful way to build long-term social and economic progress, and I am determined to play my part in helping every child in Pakistan have the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
This programme is designed to give supporters an opportunity to interact with like-minded, compassionate and altruistic people during this journey and learn the joy of giving back to society.
Pakistan is in the midst of an education crisis with 26.2 million children out of school, more than half of whom are girls.
