THE VIRTUAL EVEREST BASE CAMP CHALLENGE

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

Here’s how it works:

• We kindly ask for a minimum donation of AED100 to enter the event

• You will then receive an email providing all the information you need to take part

• Download Zoom to your device, join us at the virtual start line for the introduction, then off, you go!

• You will have 8 days to complete the challenge

ABOUT THE CHARITY

Due to COVID-19, we cannot currently travel to Nepal to complete this incredible trek however we remain committed to fundraising for our charity projects and to providing ways for you to keep fit with us.

Funds raised through this challenge will provide on-going operational support for children of the Eco-Farm.

Mission Himalaya was founded in 2008 by a group of socially committed professionals to help rural and back tracked Nepalese communities. Not only have they committed to reaching out to those in need of proper healthcare and education but are also dedicated to helping orphaned and homeless children. Nepal has as many as 80,000 orphans, all in need of a safe, secure home.

FUNDRAISING IN THE UAE

This challenge is held in association with local not-for-profit Gulf for Good, whose purpose is to change the lives of underprivileged children around the world.

The breakdown of how donations are distributed are as follows:

- 75% of funds raised go to Mission Himalaya, Kathmandu, Nepal

- 15% of funds raised go to Gulf for Good (not-for-profit in the UAE and registered UK charity) for their sustainability

- 10% of funds raised go to International Humanitarian City for their emergency response work
