Suffah Charity Center is a registered organization under the Ministry of Home Affairs; District Administration Office Bhadrapur Jhapa through the Organization Act, 2034 having Registration No. 2722 on 15 September 2017. Social Welfare Council Affiliation No. 46671.

ACTIVITIES / BACKGROUND:

v Suffah Charity development activities are spread over 35 villages of which 1 village is in Kathmandu district of Bagmati Province and other 34 villages in Jhapa district of Province 1.

v The project villages are situated in the semi hill region with an average rainfall about 160-mm/year. The project villages are located around 15-20 kms radius from the nearest small town Jhapa Bazaar.

v The target people covered under the project are Kami, Damai, Gandharva, Bandhi, Sarki, Santhal, and Sahani who are weaker sections of the society; Muslims, Rajbanshi, Tajpuriya, Koch, Magar and Mochi who are backwards sections of the society. The socio-economic conditions of the target groups are far behind of satisfactory level and the project villages are lacking the primary infrastructures.

v Suffah Charity as part of its comprehensive holistic approach to improve the quality of life of the rural communities is facilitating a number of need-based and people centered activities in the project area. Some of the main activities are: Community organizing, promoting education SDG4, hygiene, sanitation & water SDG6.
