Mashreq joins the 1 Billion Meals initiative
Mashreq has announced its participation in the 1 Billion Meals initiative, the largest of its kind in the region, which aims to provide food support to the underprivileged and undernourished in less fortunate communities throughout 50 countries across the world.
As one of the country’s oldest banks that resonates strongly with the culture and values of the UAE and its people for over 5 decades, Mashreq is proud to contribute to the efforts and charity initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The pledge to contribute to the 1 Billion Meals initiative reinforces Mashreq’s commitment towards sustainable social and economic development, and to help further enhance the UAE’s status in global humanitarian work, through its communities, business, and operations.

Donors can also contribute to the 1 Billion Meals initiative through:
• Direct Bank Transfer - Bank transfer from your Mashreq accounts to the campaign’s account at Emirates NBD, number: AE300260001015333439802.
• AED 1 Subscription - Donors can also opt to donate AED 1 a day through a monthly subscription by sending “Meal” or “وجبة” via SMS to 1020 on the du network or 1110 on the Etisalat network.
• Call to Donate - Donations can also be made through the campaign’s call center via a toll-free number 8009999.
About One Billion Meals
The “One Billion Meals” is the biggest humanitarian initiative of its kind in the region. It aims to secure food aid for vulnerable communities in 50 countries around the world. It will provide food support to those in need, representing a grand statement of the UAE’s aspirations in humanitarian aid and firm commitment in developing long-term solutions to improve lives across the world, without any discrimination.
The One Billion Meals campaign is an expansion of the UAE’s previous Ramadan campaigns “100 Million Meals” and “10 Million Meals”, organized under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
