Story

Paradiso Orphanage is the poorest one in Arusha where the meals are still cooked on an open fire. It is not supported by any local or international organisations.

The children are cared for by a very old couple - "grandfather" and "grandmother".

The orphanage seeks support with school fees, clothes, food, toiletries and operations.

To empower the children, a volunteer started "Little Gardeners" project where they turned an empty yard into a vegetable garden. They made a deal - if kids continue to look after the garden, they will receive more support.

This has motivated them to work hard. As a result, they now harvest the produce for their own use. What is more, they sold some in return of which they bought meat!

Now it is the volunteer's turn to get more support for them.
