Story
In celebration of Global Handwashing Day (October 15, 2022), Project Maji and Jumeirah Primary School have come together to raise awareness around the global water crisis during a uniquely designed "Water Term". In addition, we offer students tools to create lasting change by raising funds to provide sustainable access to safe water and a handwashing station on premises for one school in Kenya – creating Wins – Water in Schools.
Why Water in Schools?
It is simple! If we provide a pipeline extension of safe water to one school, hundreds of pupils will no longer be thirsty during class or missing classes looking for water.
Through your participation in in-school fundraising activities at JPS, you can bring them clean water on school premises, end their water walk, and help them focus on their studies.
So, are you ready to be a Water Warrior? Join us now and transform lives with clean water! Don’t forget to spread the word, invite your friends, your family and your relatives to match your impact. Together, let’s change these lives forever!
About Project Maji:
Project Maji is a non-profit safe water enterprise, working to provide sustainable access to safe water to rural communities and growth centres in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. We replace borewells and broken handpumps and design, implement and maintain solar-powered water solutions, in the world’s most remote rural communities. Till date, we have deployed and maintained 120+ solar-powered safe water access points serving more than 120,000 people in Ghana, Kenya and now Uganda. A registered NGO in Ghana and UAE, and an official member of the International Humanitarian City in Dubai, Project Maji is on a mission to serve 1 million people with clean water by the year 2025.
